I remember the story that was told about a group of marine biologists. In their research, the marine biologists reported that great white sharks, in their natural habitat, have the potential of reaching 3500 pounds and 20 feet in length.

Now, here is the interesting thing they discovered during their study. They discovered what happened when a great white shark was raised from a baby in a small aquarium.

They discovered that even though a great white shark has the God-given capacity to grow up to 20 ft in length and weigh up to 3500 lbs. - when confined to a small aquarium, it would only reach 12 to 15 inches in length and only weigh 15-20 lbs. They discovered even though it would have reached full chronological maturity (as far as age is concerned), it would be well short of reaching its full potential otherwise.

Many times we Christians are facing the same situation. We confine ourselves to a situation that say “we can’t do it”. Therefore we can’t!!!!!!! We need to come out from this ‘cocoon’ and to tell ourselves ‘we can’ with the God-given ability.

First, we need to be awakened; just like the prodigal son, who suppose to inherit the greatest treasure together with his family, demanded from his father of his share. And in no time spent all he had. He was awakened by the luxury his father has and willing to go home, even to be a servant. But his father welcomed him as a son, who once was lost now found.

Second , we need to aware that we can actually do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Phi 4:13). If we understand this then we will move on with the strength of God and not to limit ourselves. Third, let us be alive to our responsibility, which God has given us. Do not hide it. Let it go, and go out for God will be with us.
